{"id":1761,"date":"2019-06-03T22:58:15","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T22:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https://theempoweredprovider.com/?post_type=product&p=1761"},"modified":"2019-11-08T23:30:12","modified_gmt":"2019-11-08T23:30:12","slug":"no-nagging-summer-chore-chart-for-kids","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https://theempoweredprovider.com/product/no-nagging-summer-chore-chart-for-kids/","title":{"rendered":"No Nagging Chore Chart for Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>How to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Print one chore chart for your child.<\/li>\n<li>Use a sharpie to write in age-appropriate chores in each box (let your child help for higher engagement!)<\/li>\n<li>Laminate the chart or slide into a page protector.<\/li>\n<li>Decide if how or if you will pay your child for the work they do around the house.<\/li>\n<li>Each day, use a dry erase marker to circle the chore(s) you would like your child to do for the day.<\/li>\n<li>If using the money method, your child can color in a dollar bill at the top for each day they have finished their chores.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Parenting\/Provider Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a no-nagging chore system. Meaning you and your child set up clear expectations up front on how the system will work. Once you circle the chores your child needs to do for the day, set the chart where you child can see it. If your child chooses not to do any or a few of the chores, simply discount their pay by one dollar. (In our house we do $1 per day. At the end of the week, we figure out how much they earned.) The less you remind your child, the more quickly they will figure out that it is in their best interest to do their chores.<\/p>\n<p>We incorporate payment into our system.<\/p>\n<p>Three of my kids race to the counter to figure out what they have to do each day while one of my kids loses his dollar quite frequently.<\/p>\n<p>I say very little throughout the process. Soon my son saw how much money his siblings were accumulating and wanted the same luxuries.
